Project summary
A new smelter and refining facility will be set up in Mundra, Gujarat, encompassing 634 acres. The project aims to produce 1 million tonnes of copper cathode and 5 lakh tonnes of copper rod per year, along with 50 tonnes of gold and 500 tonnes of silver as by-products. The estimated cost is Rs. 100,000 million, with environmental clearances obtained in Dec 2018 and final clearance in June 2020.
