A new 3rd and 4th railway line, each 127 km long, is planned between Sambalpur and Jarapada in Odisha. The project, estimated at Rs. 35,736.4 million, is set to begin in December 2025 and complete by December 2030. As of August 2025, it is being developed through the EPC route to enhance rail capacity and efficiency.
