A new 82.06 km railway line is planned between Badampahar and Kendujhargarh in Mayurbhanj and Kendujhar districts, Odisha. Estimated to cost Rs. 18,757.2 million, construction is set to begin in September 2025 and conclude by December 2029. As of June 2025, the project is awaiting environmental clearance from the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority.
