Project summary
A new desalination plant is being developed in Ontimamidi (Kona) Village, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The project includes a 4*2 MLD plant and marine pipelines: two 600mm intake pipelines, each 515 meters long at a depth of 7.5 meters, and two 400mm outfall pipelines, extending 1085 and 1185 meters at depths of 11 and 12 meters. Estimated cost is Rs. 610 million, with state approval received as of September 2024.
