A new 84.1 km railway line is planned between Gondia, Maharashtra, and Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. The project, estimated at Rs. 22,225.3 million, is scheduled for construction from October 2025 to October 2030. As of February 2026, the project has received the Notice to Proceed and is being executed through the EPC route to enhance regional rail connectivity.
