Project summary
The second phase of the Astaranga fishing harbor has been approved with an estimated outlay of Rs. 1338.1 Million. The facility will include landing and berthing infrastructure, an idle quay, auction hall, net-mending and gear sheds, a market complex, slipway and boat repair facilities, with capacity for nearly 1,960 mechanized fishing vessels. IIT Madras has been appointed as Project Management Consultant, and the project is scheduled for completion within 24 months.
