Project summary
A sponge iron production expansion plant is planned in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The project includes the installation of a 1500 KW / 2100 Kg ferro melt induction furnace to process Si-Mn/Fe-Mn fines particles from the final product of SAF. Estimated at Rs.5.988 million, construction begins in December 2024, ending in November 2025. Environmental clearance is under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change as of March 2024.
