An expansion of a grain-based distillery in Purnia, Bihar, will increase production capacity from 65 KLPD to 100 KLPD alongside a new 6 TPD Compressed Bio Gas facility. Having obtained pollution control clearance in June 2023, the ₹539.4 million investment proposal was submitted to the SIPB Secretariat in July 2025 and secured official state approval in August 2026.
