Assi River Waste Water Treatment Plant in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
* A consortium of three management consultants has been hired for the development of a waste water treatment plant on the Assi River in Varanasi, India. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 50 million and will be implemented via the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) route. The aim is to reduce the pollution levels of the river by treating waste water before it reaches the Ganges, improving the water quality and ecosystem of the region. The project is currently in the development stage with the detailed project report study underway.
