    Rs.194000 Million Carbon Black Manufacturing Expansion Project in Kachchh, Gujarat

    A major industrial complex in Kachchh, Gujarat is being expanded to raise carbon black capacity from 6.6 to 8.0 LTPA and captive power from 160 to 240 MW, alongside new off-road and on-road tyre lines, a mould/drum plant, dip roll fabric unit, wheel rim facility, tyre recycling unit, township and a speciality hospital. The proposal, covering a total post-expansion area of 301.161 ha, is currently under examination with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change after a public hearing conducted in December 2023. Construction timelines are yet to be finalized pending further regulatory clearance.
