    A new outer harbour comprising a pile jetty and diaphragm jetty is proposed at Murudeshwara in Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka, with a fish handling capacity of 25,000 tonnes per annum. The project involves land reclamation of about 18.81 hectares and a total outlay of Rs. 3980 Million, currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for Terms of Reference.
