    A major petrochemical manufacturing complex at Dahej is set to expand Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) production capacity from 175 KTA to 480 KTA, an addition of 305 KTA. The proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference. The expansion spans 653 hectares of non-forest land across five villages in Bharuch district.

    A plant expansion is planned at GIDC Estate, Dahej Taluka: Vagra, Dist: Bharuch, Gujarat, to increase Polyether Polyol capacity from 2000 TPM to 5950 TPM and add facilities for other polyols and prepolymers. The project, costing Rs.750 million, will expand production to 23,760 MT/month. Construction starts in January 2026 and ends in December 2031, pending environmental clearance.

It will utilize LNG cold energy for efficiency, support large-scale ethane imports, strengthen domestic petrochemical supply, and is targeted for commissioning by June 2028.
