    An existing non-EC synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing unit at GIDC Gundlav, Valsad, is being expanded to add new products including dye-fixing agent, polyacrylic acid and stearamide, along with additional non-EC product capacity. The proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference, with physical expansion work yet to commence. Total employment during construction and operations is expected to rise modestly with the added capacity.

    A Company is expanding its existing synthetic organic chemicals plant at Roha MIDC, Raigad district, Maharashtra, raising manufacturing capacity from 3,694.62 MT/month to 5,505.93 MT/month through addition of new products, deletion of some existing products, and enhancement of production capacities within the same product category. The ₹145 crore project (₹92.25 crore existing + ₹52.75 crore proposed expansion) has been accepted and referred to the Expert Appraisal Committee for further review. No new land is being acquired, and no forest land is involved.

The investment programme also covers new value-added pigment grades and captive power infrastructure strengthening. The move follows record sales volumes with the plant operating at effectively full capacity.
