Total land requirement after expansion is about 11.42 hectares, entirely non-forest land.

    A new opencast coal mine spread over 3330.63 Ha across villages in Tamnar and Gharghoda tehsils of Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh, with a planned production capacity of 12 MTPA of coal. The project, part of the Mand-Raigarh coalfield block allotted via Ministry of Coal order, is currently at the Terms of Reference stage with forest clearance and land acquisition processes underway. Significant resettlement is anticipated, with 8 villages and over 6,300 affected families identified, and rehabilitation yet to commence.

Total project cost is estimated at Rs. 350 Million, with construction activity expected to follow once clearances are secured.
