Rs.14000 Million New Bio Refinery Plant in Bathinda, Punjab
A joint venture between HPCL and Mittal Energy Investments plans to build a bio-ethanol plant in Bathinda, Punjab. The plant aims to produce 100,000 tonnes per annum of ethanol from agricultural inputs like waste food. The company is focused on promoting sustainable practices and reducing India's dependence on imported crude oil. Pre-project activities are underway as of October 2022.
