    A company in South Goa District is proposing an expansion project to increase the production capacity of mild steel billets from 42,000 TPA to 125,000 TPA. The estimated cost is $61 million. Environmental clearance is underway since April 2016. As of January 2023, the project involves expanding MS billets and MS hot rolled capacity from 59,000 TPA to 450,000 TPA, with an investment of Rs. 551.5 million.
