    A new end-to-end lithium-ion battery recycling and hydrometallurgical processing facility is proposed inside a notified SEZ in Andhra Pradesh, designed to handle up to 40,000 tonnes per annum of spent Li-ion batteries. The project will recover critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt and nickel via black mass and metal salt processing lines. The proposal is currently under verification with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with land already acquired but construction yet to commence.
