Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated Zetwerk Electronics' electronics manufacturing facility in Pannur, Tamil Nadu.
Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “As Zetwerk launches its 7th factory, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Indian companies in becoming global leaders.”
The new facility, part of a Rs 1,000 crore investment, will manufacture control boards for consumer durables and IT hardware. It features advanced production capabilities, including five surface-mount technology (SMT) lines and rigorous testing processes. At full capacity, it will employ 1,200 professionals.
The 15-acre campus will enhance India’s Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector, contributing to India's USD 500 billion ESDM ambition and Tamil Nadu’s USD one trillion economic vision.
Established in 2021, Zetwerk provides end-to-end electronics manufacturing services (EMS).
The Minister announced two major Electronics Manufacturing Clusters worth Rs 1,112 crore at Pillaipakkam and Manallur to boost Tamil Nadu’s electronics sector.
