Yudo Hot Runner India Pvt. Ltd. has inaugurated a new 40,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Vasai, near Mumbai, dedicated to the production of hot runner systems used in injection moulding. The new plant more than doubles the company's manufacturing capacity from nearly 190 systems per month to almost 400, marking one of Yudo's largest investments in India to date.

The facility brings design, research and development, simulation, manufacturing, assembly and testing under one roof, and becomes one of Yudo's nine global R&D centres, adding to a worldwide manufacturing network spanning 24 plants across more than 45 countries. Hot runner systems are used across the automotive, packaging, medical and PVC industries, with automotive remaining Yudo's largest business segment in India; the company holds close to 70 percent of the domestic automotive hot runner market.

Vasai was selected for the site given its established ecosystem for automotive tooling and precision manufacturing. The expanded facility currently employs around 100 people, with headcount expected to rise to about 125 within six months. The plant incorporates sustainability features including rooftop solar power generation, rainwater harvesting, heat-resistant building films, and solar daylighting to reduce reliance on artificial lighting.

The expansion is intended to strengthen Yudo's ability to meet growing domestic demand while offering faster deliveries and local engineering support, reinforcing India's position within the company's global manufacturing and engineering network.
