Yotta Data Services to Build Single-Storey Data Centres in Mumbai and Delhi to Speed Up GPU Deployment
Yotta Data Services plans to build single-storey, horizontally oriented data centres at its Mumbai and Delhi campuses to accommodate an influx of new chipsets amid surging demand. According to the company's founder, as Yotta moves toward acquiring 96,000 graphics processing units (GPUs), speed of construction has become critical to the company's expansion plans.
The company is shifting away from the conventional multi-storey vertical data centre model typically used in India, opting instead for single-storey structures built using steel or prefabricated panels that can be completed within five to six months, in order to optimise land use and accelerate deployment.
The new facilities will be set up within Yotta's 600-acre Navi Mumbai data centre park, which is expandable to 2 gigawatts of capacity, and its 20-acre Greater Noida data centre park, expandable to 350 megawatts.
