Manufacturing  -  Aug 09,2024  -

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to develop a 200-acre electronic manufacturing cluster (EMC) in Sector 10 along the Yamuna Expressway. This initiative is designed to stimulate economic growth and create job opportunities for the youth in Uttar Pradesh. The project is part of the Centre’s Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC 2.0) scheme and will be managed by YEIDA, which has been designated as the implementing agency by the Uttar Pradesh government.

The proposed EMC will benefit from its strategic location, with proximity to major infrastructure such as the Noida International Greenfield Airport, set to open by the end of 2024, and other critical transport links including expressways, railways, and metro lines. YEIDA officials anticipate project approval from the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology within the next 15-20 days. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, emphasized that this development will position Uttar Pradesh as a key player in the electronics manufacturing sector, attracting major investors and driving regional economic advancement.
