Wormwood Hotels has outlined an expansion plan with a capital outlay of about ₹100 crore. The company aims to reach 10 operating properties by the end of 2027. It plans to add around 200 keys in its next phase of growth.

The expansion covers locations across West Bengal, including Shantiniketan, Siliguri, Digha, Newtown and the Sundarbans. Kolkata is also part of the plan. Projects at Shantiniketan and Siliguri are under construction. Land has been acquired in the Sundarbans.

About ₹50 crore of the investment is planned over the next three months. The expansion is expected to generate about 500 direct and 800 indirect jobs.

Synergy Infra has provided capital for the current properties. The Wormwood brand is owned by its founder, Sengupta, who manages the hotels under management contracts. The source reports do not state the key count or construction timeline for individual properties.
