The 84-km stretch between Panvel and Indapur Mumbai-Goa highway is expected to be completed by December this year, as per the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

Pre-monsoon works are currently underway, with precautions in place to ensure smooth traffic flow during the monsoon season.

The 84-km-long stretch of the highway has been divided into two packages. Package one, which covers 42.3 km from Panvel to Kasu, has achieved over 85 percent physical progress, and approx. 39 km of the 40 km of road concreting has been completed.

Furthermore, in about nine km of the 23.7 km of parallel service road concreting work is finished. Additionally, work on the vehicular underpass at Gadab in Pen taluka is also progressing.

In Package two, covering 42.3 km from Kasu to Indapur, 26.67 km of four-lane work has been completed by the previous contractor. The remaining work has been awarded to Kalyan Toll Infra.
