Century Plyboards has commenced commercial dispatch of PVC & WPC products from its recently inaugurated 100% subsidiary Century Panels at Badvel, YSR Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh. With this milestone, the company expects a growth of 50-60% from this product category.

The growth of PVC products is highly impeccable and versatile and is used in a wide variety of applications ranging from furniture, door, door frames, ceilings, exterior cladding, wall panels etc. The versatility of PVC makes it highly attractive to various industries hence the mass demand for this product is growing at large. Not only that, but the mentioned product is also relatively inexpensive compared to other traditional materials adding much to its benefits. Additionally, PVC is known for its durability and 100 % water and termite-proof qualities making the segment grow at CAGR of over 25%.

With an allocated investment of Rs 1000 crore for the 100-acre greenfield project, the brand instituted the laminate, MDF, and PVC unit in Andhra Pradesh. While the first phase of operational production included 2 large presses of laminates, the production and commercial dispatch of MDFs at the unit has already given a flying start to the second phase with an investment of Rs 700 crore, just for MDFs.

Additionally, in the coming 3-5 years, the brand aims to generate direct and indirect employment of 2000+ people in the region of Andhra Pradesh.
