Waaree likely to establish one GW Electrolyzer Manufacturing Plant

Manufacturing  -  Nov 04,2023  -

In 2024, Waaree Energies, a prominent solar panel producer in India, plans to develop a big one gigawatt electrolyzer manufacturing facility.

The new plant would be dedicated to the manufacturing of alkaline electrolyzers will be located in Valsad, Gujarat.

These gadgets are crucial for utilising renewable energy sources to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, which helps produce green hydrogen.

Alkaline electrolyzers have become more popular than other electrolyzer technologies due to their capacity to handle huge volumes and their comparatively inexpensive manufacturing costs.

The lifespan of the electrodes may be shortened by them, nevertheless, due to increased maintenance costs and corrosion-related complications.

Chinese electrolyzers are currently 40–50% less expensive than those made in India, according to The Economic Times.
