A letter of intent has been given to ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt Ltd by the V O Chidambaranar Port Authority, a state-owned organisation in charge of running the port in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

With the help of this letter, ACME is permitted to lease 222.79 acres of port land in order to develop a green hydrogen and green ammonia project. Rs 52,474 crore is the estimated investment for this venture.

A daily hydrogen generation capability of 3,000 tonnes is anticipated for the ACME facility.

When the V O C Port Authority requested expressions of interest for the creation of green hydrogen and green ammonia projects on port territory, 25 organisations responded, including ACME and ReNew Power.
