The copper manufacturing facility owned and operated by Gautam Adani's Adani Enterprises will open for business in Gujarat's Mundra in March 2024.

The greenfield copper refinery project has a 1 million tonnes (MT) annual output capacity and is being built at a cost of Rs 8,783 crore.

A greenfield copper refinery project is being put up by the Adani Enterprises subsidiary Kutch Copper Ltd (KCL) for the manufacture of refined copper in two stages.

For the first phase, KCL has planned a capacity of 0.5 MT and has achieved financial closure through a syndicated club loan.

The first phase is expected to become operational by the end of the current fiscal year, the sources added.
