Vibhor Steel Tubes (VSTL) has doubled its special steel manufacturing capacity at its plant in Telangana to 48,000 tonne from 24,000 tonne.
The Haryana-based company has inaugurated a new galvanizing iron (GI) manufacturing unit in the state to increase the production of crash barriers which are widely used on medians, shoulders, verges, and high embankments.
While it has strengthened the production and supply of crash barriers to its customers across the country, this new facility will further reinforce its leading position in the steel tubes and pipes industry. VSTL operates two manufacturing units in Raigad, Maharashtra and Mahbubnagar in Telangana, with capacity totaling to 2,21,000 tpa.
VSTL is in the process of setting up its third steel project in Odisha, which would take its overall capacity to 3,41,000 tonne.
