Vardhman Textiles' board of directors approved to increase the processed fabric capacity at Vardhman Fabrics in Budhni, Madhya Pradesh on 28 November, 2024.
The capacity augmentation by about 31 million meters per annum will be undertaken with a total capital outlay of approx. Rs 350 crore.
The company has an existing processed fabric capacity of about 175 million meters per annum and the current capacity utilisation is above 90 percent.
The proposed capacity addition is to be implemented within two years. With the capacity addition, the company plans to meet demand for processed fabric in both export and domestic markets.
The capital expenditure would be funded from either internal accruals or debt.
