The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) will execute the projects. All four expressways will be developed in EPC mode. The government has set a completion target of three years.
The approved links are the Farrukhabad Link Expressway, the Agra-Lucknow–Purvanchal Link Expressway, the Jhansi Link Expressway and the Jewar Link Expressway. The Farrukhabad link is about 90.90 km long and is divided into two packages. The Agra-Lucknow–Purvanchal link is 50.94 km and connects the two existing expressways.
The Jhansi Link Expressway is about 106 km long and is divided into two packages. The Jewar Link Expressway is about 74 km long and is also divided into two packages. Package-wise bidding is expected to follow for the split corridors.
Contractors will also maintain the expressways for five years after completion. The links are intended to improve connections between existing expressways and destinations across the state, including the Bundelkhand region and the area around Jewar Airport.
