Uttar Pradesh has attracted investment commitments worth more than ₹45,000 crore from eight leading companies, including HCL-Foxconn, Avaada Electro, Amber Enterprises, and SAEL Solar, marking a major boost to the state's manufacturing ecosystem. The projects, concentrated largely in Gautam Buddha Nagar, are expected to generate more than 25,000 direct jobs across the semiconductor, electronics, and renewable energy sectors.

Renewable energy accounts for the largest share of the announced investments. Avaada Electro Ltd. is expected to invest ₹16,139 crore and create around 7,400 jobs, while SAEL Solar has committed ₹8,000 crore with employment potential of approximately 7,760 positions. Oriana Power is expected to invest ₹4,500 crore, and CESC Green Power has announced an investment of ₹3,805 crore. Together, these renewable energy and green-manufacturing projects account for more than ₹32,000 crore of the total commitments, supporting the production of solar and other clean-energy equipment and strengthening domestic supply chains.

The state government credits the investment momentum to its Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion (IIEP) Policy 2022, FDI/FCI Policy 2023, and Semiconductor Policy 2024. Six of the eight projects have received support under the IIEP Policy, while Ascent Circuits is being assisted under the FDI Policy.

Uttar Pradesh advisor Awanish Awasthi highlighted the development, noting that the investments would strengthen the state's position as a leading hub for manufacturing, electronics, renewable energy, and innovation. The latest commitments reinforce Uttar Pradesh's ambition of becoming a $1 trillion economy, with major companies choosing Gautam Buddha Nagar for manufacturing in semiconductor, electronics, and green energy sectors as the state positions itself among India's leading industrial destinations.
