A new EV systems plant has recently been commissioned in Farukhnagar, Haryana, by Uno Minda Ltd, a top global manufacturer and provider of exclusive automotive solutions and systems, as part of a joint venture with FRIWO AG Germany.

This new plant would produce a variety of items for EV 2wheelers and 3 wheelers, including On-Board Chargers, Off-Board Chargers, Motor Control Units, DCDC Converters, Battery Management Systems, and many more.

Supplies from this factory have already begun, and it is anticipated that they will continue to increase when more orders begin production (SOP) in the upcoming quarters.

In August 2023, Uno Minda Ltd.'s subsidiary Uno Minda Buehler Motor Private Limited (UMBM) in Bawal, Haryana, officially opened its second new EV systems plant. The factory will produce traction motors and BLDC motors for electric 2- and 3-wheelers.

UMBM has already received orders from OEMs and is expected to start supplies by Q3 FY24.

The company has also received new orders with annualised peak value of more than Rs. 600 crore for EV systems during the Ql FY24.

The aggregate order book now stands at more than Rs. 2500 crore annualised peak value from EV OEMs comprising of both existing and EV specific products.
