Three major firms to invest Rs 2,476 crore in Uttar Pradesh

Manufacturing  -  Nov 26,2024  -

Pine Valley Ventures, Havells India, and Minda Corporation, are set to invest a combined Rs 2,476 crore in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

The state government is facilitating these projects through strategic land allocations and investor-friendly policies.

Under the FDI Policy 2023, up to 75 percent subsidies on land costs are offered in western Uttar Pradesh, making it a key industrial hub. Additional measures such as tax concessions, enhanced logistics, and expedited administrative processes through a single-window clearance system have further attracted investments.

Pine Valley Ventures plans to establish a Rs 1,080.82 crore facility for manufacturing readymade garments and accessories, on a land spanning 20-25 acres, which will produce lakhs of units annually and create significant employment opportunities. Havells India will invest Rs 873.58 crore in a greenfield refrigerator manufacturing project, to be executed in seven phases, expected to generate over 1,000 employment opportunities. Meanwhile, Minda Corporation will invest Rs 522.28 crore to make wiring harnesses and electronic systems, bolstering the state's automotive sector.

The government's transparent land allocation processes, coupled with tax exemptions and SGST refunds, have fostered a favourable investment climate. Beyond large-scale industries, the state is also witnessing growth in small and medium enterprises, contributing to job creation and economic expansion.
