Odisha's Water Resources Department (WRD) has requested bids for the construction of an in-stream storage structure (ISS) at Godhaneswar, across the river Mahanadi in the state's Subarnapur district.

The scope of work for ISS construction includes hydromechanical works, electricity connectivity works, road connectivity, and staff quarters, which includes surveying, investigating, planning, designing, and estimating all components.

The completion duration is 36 months, and the project will be operated and maintained (O&M) for five years or five flood seasons, whichever comes first, following successful commissioning.

The contract is worth Rs 948.47 crore. The deadline for submitting a bid is September 30, 2023.
