Telangana secures investments in energy, aerospace at WEF, Davos

The Telangana government, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, signed MoUs with three Hyderabad-based companies: Megha Engineering and Infrastructure (MEIL), CtrlS Datacentres, and Skyroot Aerospace.

 

MEIL will invest Rs 11,000 crore in a 2,160 MW pumped storage project, creating over 1,250 employment opportunities, and Rs 3,000 crore in a 1,000 MWh battery energy storage system, adding work avenues for 4,000 people . Additionally, MEIL will build a Rs 1,000 crore wellness resort at Ananthagiri, generating employment for 2,000 people.

 

CtrlS Datacentres will invest Rs 10,000 crore to establish Asia's largest 612 MW data hub in Hyderabad, reinforcing Telangana’s role in digital infrastructure. Skyroot Aerospace will set up a Rs 500 crore integrated private rocket manufacturing and testing facility.

 

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu emphasized the transformative impact of these projects on Telangana’s economy, tech infrastructure, and global positioning.
