TCS Subsidiary HyperVault to Develop ₹70,000 Crore, Up to 1 GW AI Data Centre Campus in Hyderabad's Future City
Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Ltd will develop an AI data centre campus of up to 1 gigawatt capacity in Hyderabad, with HyperVault and its partners expected to invest up to ₹70,000 crore in building and managing the infrastructure. The company has secured 264 acres of land in Hyderabad's Bharat Future City for the campus.
The purpose-built facility is intended to cater to frontier AI companies, hyperscalers and global enterprises requiring high-density GPU capacity for AI training, inference, and other advanced computing workloads. Development will proceed in phases, tied to customer demand and technology requirements.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the project alongside the HyperVault team, describing it as one of the largest AI infrastructure investments in Future City, the state government's upcoming development on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The Chief Minister has set an informal target of June 2, 2028, Telangana Formation Day, for inauguration, roughly 21 months from the announcement. The state government has cited an estimated 7,000 jobs linked to the project.
The HyperVault campus builds on a strategic alliance announced earlier between TCS and TPG, under which the two firms committed to invest up to ₹18,000 crore in HyperVault over several years in a 51:49 ownership ratio, with TPG's contribution routed through TPG Rise Climate and its Global South Initiative. If delivered at the announced scale, the Hyderabad campus would rank among India's largest purpose-built AI data centre developments.
