Taj GVK Hotels to Open 256-Key Taj Yelahanka Luxury Hotel in North Bengaluru by September 2026
Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Limited has announced that its upcoming luxury hotel at Yelahanka in North Bengaluru — Taj Yelahanka — is expected to commence operations by September 2026, subject to receipt of necessary regulatory approvals and completion of pending formalities. The property will feature 256 keys and is positioned to serve corporate, MICE, and leisure travel segments in one of Bengaluru's fastest-growing urban corridors.
The hotel is being developed on a 3-acre site in the Yelahanka micro-market. Taj GVK also holds an adjacent 4-acre land parcel, which the company has identified as a potential Phase II development opportunity, though no formal plans for the second phase have been announced.
Yelahanka and North Bengaluru have seen significant growth in commercial and residential activity in recent years, driven in part by proximity to Kempegowda International Airport and expanding IT and aerospace clusters in the area. The Taj Yelahanka property is intended to capture rising demand from corporate travel and events business in this corridor.
The opening of Taj Yelahanka will expand Taj GVK's room inventory and strengthen its presence in the Bengaluru market. Investment size for the project has not been disclosed.
