Clean energy firm Sunkind Energy announced that it has secured new solar power projects totaling around 20 megawatts (MW).

The contracts, awarded by Nahar Group and Jindal Group, involve setting up a 7.3 MW solar project in Ludhiana, Punjab, and a 19.6 MW project in Nashik, Maharashtra.

Both projects will follow the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model and are expected to be completed by September 2024, according to Hanish Gupta, Sunkind Energy's founder and CEO.

Financial specifics were not revealed, although industry estimates suggest investment could be around Rs 5-7 crore per MW, including land costs.
