Sudeep Pharma Gets Gujarat FDA Approval to Start Operations at 51,200 MT Greenfield Excipients Plant in Nandesari

Chemicals Oct 28,2026

Vadodara-based Sudeep Pharma Limited has received approval from the Gujarat Food and Drug Control Administration to start manufacturing at its new greenfield facility at 179 Nandesari, Gujarat. The company disclosed the approval to the stock exchanges on 26 October 2026.

The plant adds 51,200 metric tonnes of installed annual capacity. It will serve the pharmaceutical, food and nutrition, and specialty ingredients segments.

About 60% of the capacity is earmarked for the company’s existing pharma and food and nutrition products. The remainder will go to newer categories, including phosphates, glycinates, gluconates and citrates.

The plant also has dedicated capacity for bisglycinates, a class of mineral chelates. The company said output at its existing plant had been constrained for these products.

Commercial supplies from Nandesari are expected in the second half of FY27, after customer qualification is completed. Sudeep said the approval lets it speed up customer audits and onboard new and existing customers at the site. The source does not state the investment size, land area or the contractors involved.
