Solex Energy to invest Rs. 4,000 crore in solar cell plant and BESS project in Gujarat
Solex Energy plans to invest around Rs. 4,000 crore to set up a solar cell manufacturing plant along with a battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Gujarat.
The facility is expected to add significant domestic cell manufacturing capacity, supporting India’s push to reduce reliance on imported solar components.
The investment aligns with government incentives under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme aimed at strengthening the solar value chain.
With rising renewable capacity targets, integrated solar and storage solutions are becoming critical for grid stability and energy transition.
