Shree Cement Ltd has unveiled its new venture, Bangur Concrete, marking its entry into the Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) segment with the inauguration of a Greenfield RMC plant in Hyderabad.
The plant, inaugurated by Shree Cement’s Chairman, HM Bangur, boasts a capacity of 90 cubic metres per hour.
This launch aligns with Shree Cement’s ambition to diversify its core cement business.
Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director of Shree Cement Ltd, expressed optimism about the RMC business, driven by India’s growth trajectory, government infrastructure initiatives, and housing sector growth.
He affirmed the company’s commitment to aggressive market expansion through new construction and acquisitions.
Earlier this month, the company acquired five operational plants from StarCrete LLP in Mumbai for Rs 33.5 crore, boosting its combined RMC capacity to 512 cubic metres per hour.
