Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a franchise agreement for an upcoming hotel in Ranchi, Jharkhand. This will be the third upcoming property of Lemon Tree Hotels in the state.
Lemon Tree Hotels, Ranchi will feature 45 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant and a bar, along with banquet facilities and meeting rooms. It will also include a swimming pool, a fitness centre and other public areas. The property is expected to open in FY25.
The Birsa Munda airport is about seven km away, while the Ranchi railway station is about two km away. The hotel is connected by both public and private transport from all major cities in India. The state has huge potential for growth with several tourist attractions and industries which showcase its historical and religious significance.
Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is nicknamed the 'City of Waterfalls' due to several cascading waterbodies within its borders. Its industrial base is fuelled by its abundant natural resources, which aid mining and mineral processing, heavy engineering and forest-based industries.
Earlier in March, 2024, the company signed a licensing agreement for a hotel in Agartala, Tripura, scheduled to open in FY27. In February, Lemon Tree Hotels inaugurated its seventh Lemon Tree Resort in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan. Additionally, it inked a licensing agreement for Lemon Tree Resort in Sankhwas Garh, Rajasthan, and Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Vijayawada.
