Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd is investing over ₹150 crore to build a greenfield manufacturing complex at Pungam, near Ankleshwar in Gujarat. The company has acquired 21 acres of industrial land for the facility, which will produce specialty chemicals and clean fuel technologies.

The site adds to Shivtek's existing manufacturing network at Kurnool, Rajpura and Dahej. It is located near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (NE-4) and Hazira Port, giving it access to logistics corridors, raw material supply and shipping routes. The upcoming Bhadbhut Barrage project is expected to further connect the site to the company's Dahej plant.

Phase 1 of the project will manufacture Pharma Grade Hydrochloric Acid along with specialty feedstock and specialty petrochemicals, with a planned capacity of 84,000 MTPA. Phase 2 will set up pilot-scale units for Methanol-to-Gas and Hydrogen Fuel technologies aimed at the maritime sector's shift to cleaner energy, along with an additional 60,000 MTPA of petrochemical intermediates ranging from low boilers to heavy boilers.

The facility will include production units, dedicated utilities, quality control laboratories, and warehousing and storage infrastructure, built to international safety and manufacturing standards. On commissioning, it will supply feedstock and intermediates to sectors including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, personal care, industrial coatings, water treatment and textiles.
