SEPC Wins ₹855 Crore SAIL Contract for Pellet Plant at IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur
SEPC Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for its IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) in Burnpur, West Bengal. The contract, valued at ₹854.57 crore, covers execution of the Pellet Plant Balance of Plant (BOP) package, including civil and structural works, under Pellet Package-2.
The project forms part of SAIL's 4.08 million tonnes per annum crude steel capacity expansion at the IISCO Steel Plant. The contract execution timeline has been set at 32 months.
SEPC stated that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity, and the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.
This is SEPC's second major order from SAIL's IISCO unit in recent months, following a ₹673.32 crore contract secured in June 2026 for the same expansion project. The two orders together add over ₹1,527 crore to SEPC's order book, reinforcing the company's position in industrial EPC execution within the metallurgical sector.
