Sarovar Hotels commits investment of Rs 120 crore for new property in Tamil Nadu

Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Apr 10,2025  -

Sarovar Hotels has committed its largest-ever investment of Rs 120 crore into its new property, Sarovar Portico, in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

The hotel is set to open within two months and marks a significant milestone for the company. The strategic choice of Sriperumbudur is expected to yield strong returns due to the area’s robust industrial base and demand for business accommodation.

Sarovar Hotels currently operates 137 hotels across 85 locations in India, alongside a presence in Nepal and Africa. The Group aims to add 16 to 20 more hotels by the end of 2025, expanding in India, Nepal, and Somaliland. Already in the first quarter of 2025, five new hotels have been launched.

Reflecting on 2024, CEO of Sarovar Hotels, Jatin Khanna, reported 27 hotel openings, 43 signings, and strong double-digit growth.

He reaffirmed the company's commitment to its mid-market positioning, with no intention of diversifying into other hotel categories.

By year-end, it aims to be present in 95 locations, with 65 per cent of its portfolio concentrated in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
