RPEL, TRL Krosaki Refractories JV to Set Up 3.5 Lakh MTPA Silica Ramming Mass Facility in Odisha

Raghav Productivity Enhancers (RPEL) has announced a joint venture with TRL Krosaki Refractories to establish a 350,000 metric tonnes per annum silica ramming mass manufacturing facility in Odisha. The initial investment for the project is approximately ₹100 crore.

The partnership is part of RPEL's strategy to build a multi-location manufacturing platform, strengthen its presence in East India, and create a supply network closer to key consumption centres.

The joint venture combines RPEL's patented manufacturing technology, market presence and R&D capabilities with TRL Krosaki's regional strength and quartzite resources in Odisha. TRL Krosaki is backed by Krosaki Harima Corporation and Nippon Steel Corporation, both of Japan.

RPEL currently has a group manufacturing capacity of 534,000 MTPA and a presence across 26 states in India and more than 40 countries. The Odisha facility is expected to expand the company's manufacturing and market footprint in the refractories segment.
