AUMOVIO India Signs MoU with NATRAX to Set Up Vehicle Testing Facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh

AUMOVIO India has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) to set up a vehicle testing facility at NATRAX's premises in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The facility is expected to become operational by the fourth quarter of 2027.

The new facility will include a workshop, technical and storage areas, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The workshop will accommodate up to 15 vehicles and will be used for installing and preparing brake systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) ahead of testing.

The facility is being established as AUMOVIO India expands its brake system projects in the country and looks to reduce vehicle development and testing timelines. The company currently conducts vehicle testing at customer test tracks in India and at its own facilities in other countries.

The workshop will support testing and tuning of brake and vehicle safety systems, including anti-lock braking systems (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), automatic emergency braking (AEB) and adaptive cruise control (ACC). It will also allow AUMOVIO teams to prepare both internal combustion engine and electric vehicles for testing at the adjacent NATRAX tracks, enabling quicker turnaround on vehicle and testing-setup changes during development programmes.
