Reliance Industries Partners With Meta to Develop 168 MW AI-Enabled Data Centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has partnered with Meta Platforms Inc. to develop a 168 MW AI-enabled hyperscale data centre in Jamnagar, with completion targeted within two years and scope for future expansion.
The facility will be India's first built-to-suit data centre developed exclusively for Meta, with Reliance managing design, construction, utilities, renewable energy supply, connectivity, and operations
. Strategically located near submarine cable landing stations and Jio's fibre network, the project will support Meta's global AI infrastructure powering Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The development strengthens the companies' existing AI collaboration and reinforces Jamnagar's emergence as a major digital infrastructure hub.
