Rallis India Ltd's Board of Directors, in its meeting on January 23, 2024, approved a proposal for the expansion of the existing Pendimethalin Plant at the Dahej Special Economic Zone (SEZ) unit.
The planned capacity addition, totaling approximately 2000 metric tonnes per annum, will necessitate an investment of around Rs. 15 crore, to be financed through internal accruals.
Currently, the existing capacity of the plant stands at approximately 5000 metric tonnes per annum, operating at a robust 90% capacity utilisation.
The expansion is slated to be carried out in a phased manner, with completion expected by the fiscal year 2025. The augmented capacity aims to address the growing sales demand in both the international and domestic markets.
