President Droupadi Murmu recognized sanitation workers for their commitment to cleanliness and laid the foundation stone for the six-lane Ujjain-Indore road in Madhya Pradesh.
Four of the five honored sanitation workers were women.
The road project, which will require an investment of ₹1,692 crore, aims to improve regional connectivity. The event was also attended by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
